Cigarettes Cause Heart Disease Solo Art Show 2021

“A collection by artist Cori Maass dedicated to the heartbreak of falling in love with something or someone that isn’t good for you.

You know that it’s the wrong form of pleasure (you’ve seen the consequences). But it’s fun to sit at night + lie to yourself:
“Just one more time won’t hurt me.”
BUT WITH EVERY INHALE, THE ADDICTION GROWS.

The night is long, the smoke is dense + ultimately pleasure is replaced with a pain that lasts longer than the love did.

CIGARETTES CAUSE HEART DISEASE.

Was it worth it?

I produced a solo art exhibition with over 500 in attendance in Los Angeles. Although it was postponed a year due to the pandemic, it was a success and a celebration of being together again. There were 14 large-scale pieces on display that have all been sold to collectors. I acquired and managed sponsors and coordinated event volunteers. I designed the cohesive experience from the first touch point of digital and physical marketing to the final in-person exhibition. There was a tattoo artist doing flash tattoos all night and 42 people got inked. We gave out free branded matchbooks that I designed and poured smokey mezcal from Madre Mezcal to accent the theme of the night.

I wrote and directed a video for the exhibition (displayed above). This was used as a stand-alone art piece and a marketing asset leading up to the event.

BLDWN “American is:” Campaign + Melrose Grand Opening Event 2019

BLDWN and I collaborated for their “American is:” Campaign that highlighted American artists and architects. I created digital and physical marketing material and designed limited-edition products based on designers in Los Angeles. I also consulted for and created the in-person experience for the grand opening of their Melrose store. My team and I inked tattoos from a flash I designed and I drew over 80 portraits at the event.

LA Design Fest Live Mural Experience at tokyobike 2019

This article explains it best:

“We gave Cori one inspirational direction: Tokyo Slow, which she translated into her own version of it I stopped and smelled the roses and made it home on time, a reminder to pause and enjoy the small and beautiful moments in life.

The mural and the bicycle were painted during LA Design Festival's launch party…”

Brother Moto Experiential Marketing + Product Design 2019

I produced and executed art and tattoo events all over the country, with thousands of people in attendance. Due to my engaged social following and successful marketing, we were able to secure vendors, locations, and loyal clientele. Over the course of my career as an artist, more than 600 people have gotten my work tattooed on them.

For this specific event, over 300 people came to participate. We made a limited edition custom tee for the event and had it printed onsite, had community vendors, inked 20 people over the course of 2 days, and created an art installation.
